Lyminge Bridge Club

In the 1980’s a Bridge club in Etchinghill and one in Elham merged to form the Lyminge Bridge Club.

The Bridge players in the club come from varied backgrounds with a wide spread of ages. Some members are new to Bridge and some have great skill and experience from many years of playing but we all have fun and enjoy our Bridge together.

Bridge is not as difficult to learn as some people think and the members of Lyminge Bridge Club are more than happy to give free lessons to complete beginners. You do not need to bring a partner as current members will partner you and help you along.  Once you have learned the basics it is an intriguing and absorbing game that stimulates the brain. It is also a great way to make new friends.

This is a very social, non-league Bridge Club, which is not affiliated to the National or Kent County clubs. We play Rubber and Chicago Bridge (but not Duplicate) in a pleasant, informal atmosphere.

We meet everyone Monday morning from 10.00-12.00 at Lyminge Bowls Club for a game of Bridge, a cup of coffee and a chat.  Members pay £1 a week, which includes tea, coffee and biscuits, and there is an annual affiliation fee of £6 to the Bowls Club.

Just turn up on any Monday or contact Janet Fry on 863177 or
